Block Exemption Rules
Did you Know?
How will EconomyTuning affect my warranty? Simple answer is it shouldn't irrespective what the manufacturer might try to claim. This is covered by competition law (see below). The argument is any modification that you make to a vehicle will affect the warranty this would include, phone kits, trackers, body and wheel mods . However we are not modifying the vehicle but simply replacing one part with another which has exactly the same safety features to protect your engine as the original. In addition our files are written to meet the stringent German TUV standards, these standards are some of the toughest in the world. This is all done in the same way as you might change an exhaust which equally wouldn't affect your warranty.
European Block Exemption Rules cover warranty obligations of vehicle manufacturers in respect of replacement parts:
The BER introduces certain definitions of importance to the independent aftermarket. There is a new definition of 'original spare parts' and 'matching quality parts' that is based on the quality of the component. Vehicle warranties cannot be invalidated if these conditions are met:
You can pay for your economy tuning as you go with our unique monthly payment plan.
How does it work?
Simply you make a small upfront payment of just £99 per vehicle then the rest of the payments are made over 36 months.
So just pay as you save!
The BER also covers service and maintenance during the warranty period and prohibits vehicle manufacturers' warranties from including conditions requiring that all parts used must be the VA Vehicle Assemblers "original spare parts".
